CBMDA Entry Level Programmes

Apart from Distance Learning, China Britain Medical and Dental Academy also provides a full range of classroom and hands-on courses in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. Whilst there are a number of training courses available for Botox and Dermal Fillers, you can be rest assured that CBMDA is your number one choice. Firstly, CBMDA medical branch is led by industry recognised cosmetic and plastic surgeons. The available central London training locations for our CBMDA students include the prestigious Harley Street, The Royal Society of Medicine, University College London Eastman Dental Institute and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. 

 

Our programme advisors, clinical teachers are all experts in their fields, come from a variety of backgrounds whether that mean they are a Surgeon, Doctor, Nurse Prescriber or Aesthetic Practitioner. You will have the opportunity to gain knowledge from each of them. We like to think our training courses make it fun to learn, whilst gaining the maximum amount of practical ‘hands on’ training with live models and the theory aspect of the course is completed via our online resource prior to attendance.

Overview

 

The China Britain Medical and Dental Academy's entry-level Botox and Dermal Fillers Course provides its trainees with the best possible entry to the marketplace by learning how these two highly popular treatments work to rejuvenate the face holistically.

 

Unlike most basic training, this is a comprehensive introductory course, covering not only how to give effective injections, but all the skills and background knowledge you need to give your clients a comprehensive and professional service. We cover everything from medicolegal aspects, consent, consultation skills, to managing and preventing rare side effects.

You will leave us not only ready to inject but also fully equipped to set up a business as a safe and competent aesthetic professional.

 

CBMDA's entry-level Botox and Dermal Fillers Course is recommended for all Doctors, Dentists, Paramedics, Midwives and Nurses who are new and inexperienced with cosmetic injectable treatments.

Structure

 

A one-week practical course where you will study practical hands-on of the most popular and ‘basic 3 areas’, of the upper part of the face. The theory section of the course will be issued as home study, tasks and case studies. Areas covered:

  • Frown lines

  • Upper Forehead

  • Crow’s feet/smile lines

On the dermal fillers courses, we will show you how to work on the areas of the lower 3rd of the face to push out contours and folds in the marionette region and create a lovely even lip border and plump out deep and fine lines. Areas covered:

  • Individual Line Softening

  • Lip border (Paris lip)

  • Marionettes Lines​

You will also learn about:

Completion

 

Once you have completed your training we ask that you complete case studies for ‘post-training practical and evidence’. This may be in the form of witness statements, client testimonials, photographic evidence, and reflection. You will learn more about post-study on your training days and you will be provided with a work-study pack to assist you.

Entry requirements

 

Completion of Medical or Dental Degree (MBBS/MBcHB, MD, BDS) recognised by China Britain Medical and Dental Academy.

Completion of Nursing degree (diploma not accepted) (Nursing and Midwifery Council registration and a minimum of four years working experience)

 

We ask that you complete the registration form found on our ‘Apply Now’ section of the website; so that we can confirm you have the appropriate qualifications and to ensure that you can gain insurance. We will not deliver a course unless we can have this confirmation and that we can provide you with vital ‘malpractice treatment insurance’.

 

English requirements should be of the following:

  • IELTS (overall score of 6.5, with 6.0 in the Writing and Speaking modules)

  • Chinese students attending clinical days will require an appropriate travel visa according to CBMDA regulations. Further advice is obtainable via CBMDA International Students Adviser under CBMDA Services
